A vivid flash of lightning during an intense electrical storm over the Newcastle district this afternoon struck a relief worker dead and injured two others, one of them seriously. The man killed was John Hogan, the others being J. S. Duffrey and It. Vale. Duffrey was admitted to hospital for urgent treatment. The men were standing near a picket fence when the lightning struck right Into their midst. During a sudden storm in Sydney Ibis afternoon lightning damaged u building in the suburbjol' Waterloo.
