Indications are for partly fair and partly cloudy weather to-day and to-morrow, with seasonable temperatures; winds chiefly from a northerly direction. The Rainfall. Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, .07in.‘ Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .471 n. Total rainfall for February to date, 8.17in. Average rainfall for February. 3.101 n. Rainfall for year to date, 1 5.09in. Average yearly rainfall, 4G.321h. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. (By Govt. Meteorologist-) The special forecast Dy the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate north-easterly winds, later freshening. Weather still cloudy to overcast with scattered rain. Seas moderate to rather rough. General inference: Pressure has risen to the east, but a •shallow depression is approaching from the Tasman Sea.
