WEDDINGS.

QUILI BEECHEY. The marriage was solemnised quietly at St. Patrick’s Church, Te Puke, on the morning of February 4, between Bryona Mary, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. M. Beechey, of “Westward Ho,” Otamaraukau, Bay of Plenty, and Edward Henry, eldest son of Mrs A. Quill and the late Mr E. J. Quill, of Hamilton. The Rev. Father J. Eccleston, of Tauranga, performed the ceremony and celebrated Nuptial Mass, and Mrs Mann, of Melbourne, presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully arranged in blue and white by friends of the bride. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a charming frock of Alice blue georgette fashioned with graceful shirred sleeves and skirt. She wore a large picture hat to tone and carried a sheaf of lilies and maidenhair fern caught with a large tulle bow. Miss Jill Beeohey (sister of the bride) was the bridesmaid and wore a .frock of shell pink crepe de chine with toning hat. She carried a bouquet of roses and maidenhair fern. Mr B. L. Quill (of Hamilton) was the best man, and Mr G. M. Beechey (brother of the bride), was usher. After the ceremony'a reception was held at the Regal Tea Rooms, Te Puke, which were most attractively arranged with orange tiger lilies and foliage. Mrs Beechey received the guests wearing an ensemble of tobacco brown and fawn marocain with shoulder spray and picture hat to tone. The bridegroom’s mother was wearing a black and white ensemble with Tagel straw hat and carried a posy of roses and maidenhair fern. When Mr and Mrs E. 11. Quill left by car for the honeymoon the bride travelled wearing a navy and white ensemble and hat. They will make their home in Hamilton. KIRBY—TAYLOR. The marriage was solemnised at St Paul’s Methodist Church, Hamilton, on the afternoon of February 15, between Florence, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Wm. Taylor, of “Fairbank,” Claudelands, Hamilton, and Noel Henry Martin, eldest son of Mr and Mrs H. Kirby, of Hamilton. The Rev. F. H. I-layman performed the ceremony and Mr Frederick Chiide, of Auckland (uncle of the bride), played the wedding music. The church had been artistically arranged by friends of the bride ■with bowls of pink and white dahlias, hydrangeas, lilium auratum, phlox and asparagus fern, the bridal party standing under a'lovely floral arch and wedding bell. The bride, who entered the church with her father, looked charming. She wore a graceful gown of pearl tinted souple satin cut. on slender lines, the skirt falling to a long train. The bodice was fashioned with a high fitting cowl nec’kline, gauged shoulder line, and long full sleeves pointed over ■ the wrist and buttoned with satin buttons to the elbow, and the back of . the frock was buttoned from neck to waistline. She wore a halo headdress of embroidered tulle caught at either side with tiny clusters cf orange blossom from which fell a beautiful veil of silk tulle appliqued with satin leaves in tapering design, and carried a sheaf of cream cactus dahlias, begonias and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were the Misses Doris Taylor and Olga Moody, and the Misses Audrey and Nola Lewis were the flowergirls. The bridesmaids wore similar frocks of palest pink aquarelle silk crepe out on classical lines, the graceful skirts falling to long trains. The bodices were fastened to Hie waist at Hie back with tiny buttons and loops and made with a cowl neckline fnggoTcn at the shoulder, and elbow length cowl sleeves. The waistline was finished with a girdle. They wore large pink picture hats trimmed to tone with flowers and a bandeau and bow, and carried sheaves of shaded pale pink to deep wine dahlias, lilium auratum, gypsophila and asparagus fern. The little llowcr girls wore dainty Victorian frocks of pale pink aquarelle crepe with puffed sleeves and frilled hemline. with sashes al. the waist, and tmished with (lowers to tone. tulle edged with tiny flowers and carried little posies of polyanthus roses, geraniums and maidenhair fern. Mr R. Kirby (brother of the bridegroom) was the best man and Mr M. Taylor (brother of the bride) was the groomsman. Messrs Eric Chiide, of Auckland, and F. Haughey were the ushers. During the signing of the register, Mr Eric Chiide, of Auckland (cousin of the bride), rendered the solo “Because God Made Thee Mine.” Songs were also given at the reception by Mr S. Whitehead, of Hamilton. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Centreway Rooms, which were beautifully arranged with pink streamers. The tables looked delightful with bowls of pink dahlias, zinnias, gladioli and asparagus fern. Mrs Taylor received the guests wearing a frock of midnight blue all over lace with diamante ornaments and hat to match. She carried a posy of pink and dull red pompom dahlias. The bridegroom’s mother was wearing a frock of beige needlerun lace with beige hat relieved with shades of brown, and carried a posy of autumn shaded flowers. When Mr and Mrs N. H. M. Kirby left by car for the honeymoon the bride travelled wearing a pink linen suit, smocked blouse and white hat, with accessories to tone. They will make their home In Hamilton. Mclntosh, Karl Ilalliday, C. Altham and K. Wright. In the evening Mr and Mrs W. Taylor entertained the guests and friends of the bride and groom, at their home in Claudelands.

KARL—KELLY. The marriage was solemnised quietly at the Churoh of Our Lady of the Rosary on February 18, between John Frederick, eldest son of Mrs and the late Mr Karl, of Paterangi, and Elsie Madge, eldest daughter of Mr P. and the late Mrs Kelly, of Claudelands, Hamilton. The Rev. Father Bleakley officiated at the marriage ceremony, and Rev. Father Ryan was the celebrant of the Nuptial Mass. The bride wore a frock of dusty pink sheer crepe and lace with beige lace straw halo hat and pink velvet ribbon to tone. 0 When Mr and Mrs J. F. Karl left by car on a tour of the North Island, the bride travelled in a smart blue and while plaid suit with white accessories. They will make their home in Paterangi.
