HONOURS AWARDED.
INVESTITURE BY THE KING. MAJOR-GENERAL FREYBERG, V.C. united Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, Feb. 18. King Edward held his first investiture at St. James’ Palace. The 200 recipients of insignia of various orders included Major- I General Freyberg, V.C., Companionship of the Bath. His Majesty also decorated with the Victorian Order many officers, sailors and soldiers who participated in the late King George’s funeral, among whom was Lieutenant Huntingdon, of the Grenadier Guards, who picked up the cross which fell off the Imperial Crown.
