SANDERS CUP.

AUCKLAND’S FIRBT WIN. AUCKLAND, Saturday. The third race for the Sanders Cup was declared off’ to-day. The race started at 10.14 and the time limit expired at 1.14. when Aileen (Auckland) was only 200 yards from the finishing line. The Auckland boat was then leading Lavina (Wellington) by 34 seconds. * The race was resailed in the afternoon and Auckland won comfortably from Canterbury, completing the course in a little over two hours 26 minutes. Auckland was also leading bv a substantial margin in the second race of the contest on Thursday morning when the wind died away and after the three-hour limit had expired the race was abandoned. Yesterday the race was over a windward and leeward course, three times round, making a total distance of nine sea miles.
