OOMPLIIe. ‘ ROBINSON AND JAMES LEAD. i i i Several changes in the leading posi—tions were witnessed during the second day‘s play in the South Auck—land Bowling Centre’s annual full rink tournament yesterday. when six of the nine rounds were completed. In the first round of the day the Onehunga rink skipped by Frank Livingstone, New Zealand singles champion, sustained its second reverse when it was defeated by Evans' Hamilton rink with :1 margin of eigh'ppoints. On the first day Livingstone's rink suffered defeat at the hands of Curtels‘ team. this being the only win secured by Curteis in the six rounds.

One of the most notable matches yesterday was the meeting of Fred Livingstone (Walton) and Adamson (Thames) in the fifth round. This game was notable by reason of the fact that although Adamson had established a lead of 18 points to 6 at the ninth head he scored only two points in the next eleven heads, and Livingstone came on to win the match by one point. At the conclusion of play yesterday Robinson (Hamilton) was leading in section A with five wins and one loss, Evans (Hamilton), Garter (Claudelands). Frank Livingstone (Onehunga), and Cliffe (Whitiora) being level in second place with four wins and two losses. In section B Janies (Cambridge), headed the teams with five wins and one loss from Fruisli (Clau.delands) and Adamson (Thames) who had four wins and two losses. Section play will be completed today, when three further rounds will be decided. Post section play and the final are set down for Saturday. Results of yesterday’s play were as follows: — SECTION A.
