The finances of the League of Nations are the best since it was estab—lished. In addition to the Budget sur—plus economies and \undei‘spending brought the credit balance to 9.000,000 gold francs, of which 1,205,000 will be transferredtto the reserve. the balance being returned to member states by means of a reduction in the 1935 contributions.
