NEW MANAGEMENT. DINNER GIVEN TO STAFF. TRIBUTE TO MB F. HOUSE. ._.—..., For the purpose of meeting the staff and making the change in control of House and Daking‘s Ltd, Hamilton. a‘ dinner was given to departmental om—l ecrs and employees by Mr J. W. Court.‘ of Auckland. managing-director of the} firm. last evening. The dinner was‘ served on a lavish scale and was; greatly appreciated by those who al-j tended. . 'Mr Court. who presided. extended a warm welcome to the staff whom he later addressed in the board-room. He announced the change in control and pointed out that John Court Ltd.. of Auckland, had taken over the business from Mr F'. House. whom he knew they would regret. losing as chief. He paid a warm tribute to Mr House, who had. he said, attained an honoured place in the business community of the town. He was held in the highest esteem by a wide section of the publlc. co-operatlon Assured. Mr Court stated that co-operation was the keynote of the flrm‘s organ—isation in Auckland and he had no doubt whatever that the same happy state of affairs would prevail in Mamilton- He desired the Hamilton and Auckland siaifs to be one big family pledged to ensure the continued progress and development of the business. Mr 'l‘. Davidson. general manager of John Court, Ltd, Auckland. gave a brief _ou|llnc oi' the firms history and advancement and expressed the hope that the staff would enjoy their associa—; tion with the business under the new control as they had done under Mr llouse. ‘ Mr B. Woodhams. of Dunedin. who has been appointed general manager of House of Baking Ltd., was then introduced to the staff and expressed his pleasure at meeting the staff, which marked the start of what he felt certain would be a happy term of office. The gathering was concluded after several departmental omcers had assured the executives of their co-op—-eratlon and expressed appreciatlon of Mr Court‘s fine gesture. ‘
