LARGELY ATTENDED FUNERAL. FINAL TRIBUTES PAID. Thai the late Mr C. R. B. The first pari of Hie lmrial service look paid in SI. Peler’s Cathedral, (he Bislmp of Waikato. Hie Might Rev. C. A. Clicrringlon. and the* Dean of Hamilton, inn Very Rev. I’. P. Weathrrhog. ofilcialing. A long cortege of cars then left for the Hamilton East Cemetery.
The pall-bearers were Messrs F. Bullock, 11. M. Baker. C. Xisbet, A R. Gibbons, A. E. li. Cronwall, F. A. Snell and I. Webster.
The principal mourners were Messrs C. A. Speight, of Hamilton, and M. C. Speight, Auckland, sons. Misses D. and 11. Speight, of Hamilton, daughters. Mr 11. Speight, of Cambridge, brother, and Mrs M. Speight, of Auckland, dmghter-in-law. The Masonic service at the graveside was read by Mr C. L. Mac Diarmid. Provincial Grand Master of the Waikato District. Many members of Lodge Beta filed past the graveside and deposited a sprig of acacia on the casket in accordance with Masonic ritual. The final part of the burial service was read by the Rev. W. M. Smalltleld, priest-in-charge at Glaudolaiuls.
Among Iho many Institutions and organisations represented were:— Lodge Bela. Waikato, Mr A. E. Gronwall and brethren: Auckland Bushy Union, Mr A. SI. C. Belcher; Waikato Rugby Union. Mr W. Fraser; Hamilton Rugby Union. Mr A. E. Gibbons; Claudelnnds Bowling Club, Mr T. (I. Reynolds ami members; Malum,ala Bowling Club, Mr W- Egan: Hamilton Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club, Messrs M. Beid and H. B. .loves; South Auckland Cricket Association, Mr A. E. Gibbons; Hamilton East School Commiltec, Messrs 11. M. linker and Messrs E. L. and E. .1. Malkins; Waikato Trolling Chili, Mr W. 11. Allen. I ,\ profusion of wreaths of all kinds formed a mountain of colour and fragrance beside Iho grave. Many howlers and masonic brethren as well as I representatives of Ihc legal profession and various oilier professions and businesses attended the funeral.
