Gudsell, a former Auckland walking champion, said that the Japanese authorities appeared to favour the suggestion that a Pacific Olympic sports meeting should be held, in which teams from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the Philippine Islands and perhaps Canada and the United States could compete. It is suggested that the meeting be held at Honolulu.
