ROTOTUNA FUNCTION.

FAREWELL TO NURSE THOMAS. Friends of Nurse A.- 'Tdiornasi .gathered in the Rotoluna Church Hall recently to bid her farewell on her relurri jo the Sudan Mission. Field. Rev. J. Dennis occupied .the chair and the accompaniments ■ were played by Mrs K. Macdonald and Miss M. Thompson. Apologies for absence .were received from Mrs. and Miss Henderson (Horsham Doaviis), and Reverend and Mrs Seaton.

Following was the programme;—< Hymn, prayer, duet, Mrs K. Macdonald and Miss Rene Clement.

Rev. Dennis in a short speech, assured Miss Thomas of the good wishes of the company and felicitated her on her recently-announced engagement. Miss Thomas suitably replied and told some of the less bright sides of mission work. Little Margaret Russel presenled Ihe guest Avith a bouquet of ranunculi, tulips and ixias.
