OBITUARY.

MRS ARTHUR CLEAVE. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. After a short illness the death oc» curred at Reniuera yesterday of Mrs Anne Caroline Cleave, aged 77, widow of the late Mr Arthur Cleave. Born at Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, Mrs Cleave came to New Zealand with her parents in IS6B in the sailing vessel Merringlon and settled in Auckland at Official Bay. Nine years after her arrival she married the late Mr Cleave, who died in 1933. After living in Waiwera for two years, Mr Cleave returned to Auckland about a month ago. Mrs Cleave is survived by two sons, Mr Arthur Cleave and Mr Philip Cleave, of Auckland, and two daughters, Miss Bertha Cleave, of Waiwera, and Mrs J. Lepine, of Hamilton. Another son, Mr E. H. Cleave, was killed early this year in a level-crossing collision near Pukekohe.
