DUNEDIN, Wednesday.

A orltlcism of the lack of unlformits In the penalties Imposed on intoxicated motorists was made by Mr A. E. AnselL iM.P., at the annual meeting of the Otago Automobile Association. He said the class of motorist known as "intoxicated” should receive his education behind bars. He was astonished at the variety of penalties inflicted and considered the magistrate had been wrong in suppressing the name of a woman motorist who was recently convicted.
