CAMBRIDGE AMATEURS. municipal band benefits. Under the banner or McMahon’s 1935 A’lirarer Minstrels a number of Cambridge amateurs gave an old-time show in tho Town Hall on Wednesday and again la£t evening, there being good attendances bolQ nights. As a result the Municipal Band’s new uniform fund will considerably beneili. The llrst half of Ihe performance was on ihe typical nigger minstrel style or 30 years ago, about a dozen “ niggers.” with Mr F. 11. ilreeli as inlerloeiiter, giving a bright and happy hour or well-known planI:ilInn melodies and remedy turns. Principal parts were taken by Messrs \V. Hreenlialgli, \V. Sanderson. U. Hoskins. \V. NVeatherall and A. Cornaga. Ollier ronirlbuii>rs were Messrs E. Marcroft, J. Marsden, and D. Nathan.
The second half was devoted to vaudeville items, comprising: Mr M. Nicholson, lap-dancing: .Messrs K. .Marcroft and \V. Sanderson, sketch; Messrs F. It. Wooldridge, W. Weatherall and O. Hoskins, .Sketch.
