MORE CONFIDENCE SHOWN. GOOD LIST OF SALES. INSURANCES IN DEMAND. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. After the hesitant market yesterday, there seemed more confidence on llie local Stock Exchange this morning, and a good list of sales was recorded at the first call. Australian banks are definitely easier and New South Wales are quoted between £3l 15s and £33, with Commercials at lOs to 17s. Dominion Banks arc steady. New Zealands had fresh business at ols 3d and Reserve Banks at £G 10s. There was a demand for insurances with inquiries for practically every listed line. Auckland gas were weak. Offers to sell ordinaries at 23s 10d (con.), and at 20s failed. In Government stocks IfiiO and 1333 were firm. The former were, in demand at £lOl Jus, with no sellers. Longer terms were quoted between £ll2 as and £ll3 10s.

Rocorded Salos. The following sales were recorded Gillespie’s Beach, Is 3d. Farmers’ Trading, 7s Id. Consolidated Brick, 1 Is 2d. Morris Hcdstrom, 23s Bd. Dominion Fertiliser, 2 is. Auckland Gas, 23s Pd, 23s fid. British Tobacco, 40s 3d. Bank of New Zealand, 31s 3d. New Zealand Insurance, 06s Gd. Broken Hill, GGs. Reserve Bank, £6 10s.
