PUBUC NOTICE. pULiLIGN o T 1 € E. THE HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL , EMPOWERING BILL. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given I hat copies of the above-mentioned Bill accompanied by plans of the lands with which it is intended that such Bill shall take power to deal are deposited at the Magistrates’ Court, Anglesea Street, Hamilton, and at the Public Office of the Hamilton Borough Council, Alma Street, Hamilton, and arc open to public inspection during office hours for three weeks from the 28th. day of August, 1935, until the 18th, day of September, 1935. The objects which the Bill is intended to effect are as follows: — 1. To empower the Hamilton Borough Council to acquire under the provisions of “ The Public Works Act 1928” such parts of Allotments Ninetysix, Ninety-seven, Ninety-eight, Ninety-nine, One hundred, One hundred and one, Fifty-eight, One hundred and three, One hundred and four, One hundred and live, Four hundred and eighty, Four hundred and seventy-nine and Four hundred and seventy-eight of the Town of Hamilton West as the Council may consider necessary or desirable in connection with the levelling and formation of the street known as Garden Place. 2. To authorise the Council to sell or lease the lands so required. 3. To entitle the Council to recover and receive one-half of all the betterment increase in respect of any portions of Allotments Ninety-six, Ninetyseven, One hundred and three, One hundred and six and Four hundred and seventy-six of the Town of Hamilton West as may be attributable to tho levelling and formation of Garden Place. 4. To provide the procedure to be adopted to ascertain the amount of such betterment Increase and the persons liable therefor. 5. To provide the procedure to be adopted by the Council in recovering such betterment increase from the persons liable for the same. G. To provide that all moneys received by the Council under the Bill shall be "applied in defraying the expenses of the Council in carrying out the levelling and formation of Garden Place.
