DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Otorohanga Defence RUle Club, when the balance-sheet showed a satisfactory ilnancial position. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Major 11. S. S. Westmacott; president, Mr A. J. McCready; deputy-chairman, Mr L. Palmer; secretary and treasurer, Mr P. J. Doull; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. P. Grey, F. P. Rowe, W. H. Evans, Auld and Culley; auditor, 11. E. Lawrence; range officer, Mr L. Palmer; trench officer, Mr A. Annan; handlcappers, Messrs P. J. Doull, and L. Palmer; club coach, Mr A. J. McCready; ammunition custodian, Mr Chas. Knox; executive committee, the president, secretary, and Messrs Haycock, A. Annan, L. Palmer and Fred Hyde. It was deckled to procure a trophy Tor the club championship and to present each member or the territorial learn, which won the A. ,1. McCready trophy, with a suitably engraved medal. Tennis Club.
