A Norfolk Island message states that Mr Justice Coyle, -of Sydney, has concluded the hearing of an action by Charles Ray Nobbs against Captain U -R Pinney, present Administrator lor alleged wrongful dismissal from the office of president -of the Executive 'Mr Nobbs’ case was that Captain Pinney wrongly convened a special meeting of the Executive Council, over which he presided, and unlawfully submitted to the meeting a motion purporting to remove Nobbs front the presidency. Mr Nobbs claimed £3OOO damages. ~ , , . . His Honour found that the Administrator had acted irregularly In calling the meeting, which was the president s prerogative, and awarded plaintiff nominal damages. The Judge commented that tne only real damage plaintiff had suffered was to his pride. ' He added that it was most regrettable that the island was in sUcli a troubled state.
