The Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, arrived In Wellington by the Maunganui from San Francisco last evening after his visit to London, during which he negotiated important agreements covering New Zealand’s meat exports.
Mr G. B. Lane has been appointed Vice-Consul of the United Slates in Wellington.
Mr Lloyd Powell, examiner for the Associated Board, London, is visiting Hamilton.
Messrs A. Striiigfellow (Ashburton), 11. C. Innes (Wellington), and J. B. Hargrave (Dargavilie) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr Justice Callan arrived from Auckland to-day and will preside at the Supreme Court sessions opening here to-morrow.
Mr It. Gladstone Hill, formerly of Hamilton, has beep re-elected music director of Derry's Band, Christchurch.
Mr F. Elliott has been elected chairman of directors of the Ilikurangi Dairy Company, Limited, defeating last year’s chairman, Mr L. Webb.
Dir A. St.C. Belcher, recently appointed manager of I lie local branch of the State Fire Office, lias arrived from Auckland to take up his new position.
Messrs A. J. Williamson, president of the Northern Boxing Club, and E. p. Aldridge, secretary of the New Zealand Boxing Council, were in Hamilton on Saturday evening for the Waikato boxing tournament.
Many congratulations on his promotion to district manager at Christchurch were accorded Mr J. S. Prentice at the weekly meeting of the Hamilton Rotary Club. Sincere regrets at his intending departure were also voiced.

The manager of the .New Zealand Dairy Produce Board in London, Mr H. B. Davis.' arrived in Wellington by the Maiingnnui litis evening. Mr •Davis has been with the hoard in London for eight and a-lialf years and is making a visit lo New Zealand to meet Ihe reconstituted hoard.
