WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

AT WAITOA. The monthly meeting of the Waitoa Women’s Institute was held in the Hall on Wednesday, the president, Mrs W. A. Fleming, presiding over a large attendance. Mrs Fleming gave an interesting report on the conference of Dominion Institutes recently held in Auckland. Mrs Wood gave an interesting demonstration on crystallising flowers. A competition for the best plate of biscuits was won by Mrs G. V. Garner. Afternoon tea was served, the hostesses being Mesdames A. L. Ashton, W. Luxton, W. Vercoe, 11. Blomfleld, I*L .Roberts and Miss Olga Luxton. The thought for the month was: “Cheery people help weary people to forget their woes."
