l CONCERT AND DANCE. One of the most popular events of the year took place on Friday evening when the junior branch of , the Women’s Division held their novelty concert and dance, the hall seating accommodation being taxed to the utmost. The novel items and scenes, highland dancing and other items were very well received and showed the enjoyment of the large audience. The concert programme was as follows:—Pianoforte duet, Misses IT. Hunt and F. Hair; play, a scene from Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Misses J. Hayward, L. Morris. ,T. Campbell; highland fling, ■Miss iM. Maekay; popular songs in lliree acts (illustrated). Misses M. Stewart, M. Clark, 11. Hunt, K. Suistcd, P. Flonerday, C. Jackson, B. Eastwood, J. Morris and L. Stockley; song, Misses J. Hayward and .T. Campbell; violin solo, Miss E. Blackford; song, Mr A. Stewart; play, "'Hope Never Dies," Misses F. Hair, R. Horn, P. Blackford, D. Eastwood, M. Nicol E. Blackford; vocal duet, .Misses Stewart and Clark; dumb sketch or tableau, Misses T. Jackson, P. Flowerday, P. Blackford, J. Morris, L. Stockley, C. Jackson, F. Hair, E. 'Blackford, R. Horn, M. Nicol, D. Eastwood, and M. Stewart; song, Mr A. Stewart; humorous recitation, Miss C. Jackson; pianoforte duct. Misses IT. Hunt and F. Hair; pianoforie solo, Miss M. Flowerday; Gipsy camp fire scene and song, junior division members; Irish jig, Miss M. Maekay. At the conclusion of the programme Ihe audience sang “ For They are Jolly Good Fellows" and*supper was served. Dancing was enjoyed to Mrs Glover’s music. ExIras on the aceordeon were played by Mr A.
