ESCAPE OF PASSENGERS.

THIRTEEN TRUCKS WRECKED. ACCIDENT NEAR INVERCARGILL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) / INVERCARGILL, Saturday. Thirteen waggons and a carriage on a mixed train jumped the rails on the Seaward Bush line near Titiroa last evening. About 20 passengers aboard received a severe shaking, but suffered nothing worse than bruising.. The waggons, ! which were loaded with ashes for the slip, were strewn over the steep bank, four being piled in a heap. The derailed carriage had a heavy list and was resting precariously at the edge of the steep barik, while ■the rails were torn away for about 'SO yards. A gang is busy effecting repairs.
