Peter Young (21), formerly of New Zealand, was committed for trial in the Police Court on a charge of having stolen six rings, valued at £65, on July 19. Fred Moser, an assistant in the city jewellery shop of Fanny Jacobs, said Young came into the shop and asked to see some diamond rings. While inspecting a I ray containing a number of rings ho shoved a,felt tray under his coal ami ran away. Moser gave chase and caught him.
