Peter Young (21), formerly of New Zealand, was committed for trial in the Police Court on a charge of having stolen six rings, valued at £65, on July 19. Fred Moser, an assistant in the city jewellery shop of Fanny Jacobs, said Young came into the shop and asked to see some diamond rings. While inspecting a I ray containing a number of rings ho shoved a,felt tray under his coal ami ran away. Moser gave chase and caught him. The police prosecutor said Young arrived in Sydney from New Zealand a. yeai' ago \yilh £2OO.
