OIVCRETE Troughs, reinforced, SO gal.', 41s; 150 g;al. 65/-; freight paid 100 miles. —Firth, Ranglrlrl. DAIRY AND STORE CATTLE. SALE AT WESTFIELD. A slight firming in values of good quality cows took place at the Westfield weekly stock sale yesterday. There was a fairly large offering of dairy cattle hut the majority'of the lines were of backward and inferior •quality, for which there was little demand. Good type springers and recently calved cows and heifers sold at slightly advanced rales, the best realisation being £6 7s Gd for a Jersey cow. The general average of values, however, did not appreciate on the reduced rales of the two previous weeks, and the supply was still in excess of buyers’ requirements. The yarding .of f»tore cattle was cleared at prices on a par with recent rates, but there was a keener competition than nusual in fat cattle. Several butchers, who were unable to fill their requirements at the fat stock sale, were buyers yesterday. In the boner section the best price was £5 15s for a well-finished bull.
