GREATER STABILITY SHOWN

At this morning's call on the Stock Exchange the chief feature was the | quantity of business put through at I unchanged sales, indicating greater i stability. | Exceptions were provided in AIL I Morgans, which slipped with a sale at 13Gs Gil and New Zealand Insurances, | which gained in a transaction at G7s ! Gd. In the case of the latter the re- ! cent weakness lias apparently received | a definite check, as buyers remained ;in «l the sale price, while holders I moved up to GBs. ! Breweries were a strong section, with enquiries for New Zealand, Dominion, limes’ Timaru, and Tooth’s. For New Zealaiuls the market was between 52s 9d and 53s Ud. , In Government stocks ail listed lines were asked for, the only offerings being of 1940 bonds at £lO2 5s and stock was 5s higher in the unlisted sections.
