FUNCTION AT PUKEMIRO.
RETURNED SOLDIERS’ DANCE. A pleasant evening was spent in the Pukemiro Miners’ Hall on Friday, when the Returned Soldiers held their annual dance. Excellent music was played by the Elite Orchestra. A Monto Carlo waltz was won by Mr Henderson (Glen Afton) and Mrs Robinson, and a novelty waltz by Mr Burt and Mrs R. Bate. A silver cake basket was won by Miss Peggy Blytli, and Miss Mi B. Thomson was the winner of a box of chocolates. Mr R. Aitken was M .C. Supper was served by the Returned Soldiers. Among those present were:—Mesdames A. Pitt, T. Martin, Hlllier, A.
