The following 1 is the report of the directors of the Te Aroha-Thames Valley Cooperative Dairy Company, Ltd., for the year ended June 30, 1935. It is pleasing to note that costs have shrown' a further reduction, lhe sum of £ISOO has been written oif for depreciation, portion or which amount has been used to wipe oiT the balance standing to goodwill account. Paid-up capital has been' Increased by a. lurther The advances already made to suppliers, including the July progress payment of Ad per lb butter-rat over the whole season, brings the season’s average, payment to date up to 9.268 d per lb l'or finest grade as at farm gate. Cartage costs ot .48*d per lb will bring the average payment up to 9.750 d per lb Tor finest grade. During the season the whole or the butter available l'or export was sold on consignment with the result that a considerable quantity was unsold at the end or the financial year. The final payments will be made to suppliers on August 20. Owing to the drought the season s supply was not up to expectations. The output has increased Irom 2202 tons to 235* tons in comparison with last season, as a result of an increase in the suppliers’ list. The scheme l'or the enlargement or the ractory and the purchase or additional machinery as outlined at the last annual meeting, is being advanced, and witli the additional plant to bo installed this season lho I'aetory plant will bo one or the most up-to-dale in the province. The export butter overseas is still opening up in good order and the agents’ reports have been excellent. The average grading has been well maintained, averaging 93.196 for last season.
