HAMILTON ORPHANS.

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING.

VISITORS FROM MORRINSVILLB.

The spirit of orphandom was reflected at the fortnightly meeting of tho Hamilton Orphans’ Club on Saturday night when the usual enjoyable concert fare was provided. The vicechairman of the club, Mr W. Dingle, presided. A hearty welcome was extended to a party of 20 visitors from Morrinsville who were headed by Mr C. E. Jenkins. The visitors contributed substantially to the concert the variety of which made il particularly entertaining.

The following was the programme: Club Ode; selection, orchestra: song, Mr L. Eclilin (Morrinsville); recitation, Mr Stoneley (Morrinsville); violin solo, Mr L. Haynes; conjuring, “ Kardo ” (Auckland) ; song, Mr R. Braithwailc; selection, orchestra; humorous songs, Mr P. McLean; novelty item (piano with electric gramophone), Mr W. Harrison; recitation, Mr Woods (Morrinsville); conjuring, “ Kardo.”

At the beginning of flic evening a welcome was exlonded io Sir Alexander Young, Minister of Health.
