BOARD’S FINAL DECISION. POSSIBILITY O.F CHANGE. APPLICATION FORWARDED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Saturday. “ Final decisions of the Transport Co-ordination Board arc capable of Amendment by the board, notwithstanding the fact that apparently there can be no appeal against such decisions," said Mr G. W. Hutchison today, on behalf of Great Pacific Airways. He said the directors had ascertained that the board by the simple expedient of a board minute recently amended Its final decision regarding ■Union Airways and Included Blenheim as a port of call. Noting the precedent, said Mr Hutchison, the directors were applying immediately to the hoard with a view to having the question of Palmerston North further Investigated at a public sitting. He felt confident the board, in view of many emphatic protests against Palmerston’s exclusion from the Auckland-Dunedin route,
would be prepared to give this question the reconsideration it so obviously demanded. Great -Pacific Airways did not oppose the amendment of the board’s decision relative to Blenheim, and they suggested that no opposition by Union Airways, relative to Palmerston North should now be expected.
