BIG COMPANY’S FIGURES

AVERAGE PAYMENT 10.0644 d. DISTRIBUTION NEXT 'MONTH. The deferred payment to be made by the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Co., Ltd., at the end of August over all butterfat received will amount to 1.8078 d, stated Mr C. J. Parlane, the general manager, In a statement Issued to the Waikato Times this morning. This will make the total payment for finest quality butterfat supplied for butter making during the 1934-35 season, Including cartage subsidy, 10.1678 d, whilst the average payment for all grades will be 10.0644 d.

Last year the total payment for finest quality butterfat for buttermaking, Including oartage subsidy, was 9.3861 d, while the average for all grades was 9.2908 d. Dlreot delivery suppliers will receive a slightly higher payment than for finest grade delivered per medium of the company's cartage servloes.

The deferred payment will be disbursed as follows:—A cash payment of .G3ld per lb butterfat on August supply; 2.131 d on September, October, November and December supply: 1.13 id on January and February supply; 1.63 id on March supply; 1.131 d on April supply, and subject to realisation of stocks, ,644 d on May supply, whilst in addition, a shareholders’ bonus amounting to .25d per lb butterfat will be paid over the full season on all butterfat covered by shares. The payment to cheese suppliers at the company’s various factories will range from 9.953 d to 10.753 d per lb butterfat, the average over all factories being 10.34 Gd, excluding East Tamaki. At this latter factory, which sells a portion of its milk in the Auckland city, the price per lb butterfat is 13.414 d.

Mr Parlane said taking all the existing circumstances into account, the figures which he .had quoted would no doubt be regarded by suppliers as very satisfactory indeed.
