JUBILEE BALL,
FUNCTION AT OTOROHANGA
There was an extremely large attendance at the Otorohanga Town Hall on Tuesday evening, when the jubilee haII. promoted to augment the funds of the local branch of the Plunket Society, was held. Visitors were present from almost all parts of the southern Waikato and Northern King Country, ami some striking taney costumes were worn. Conspicuous among the prize-winning impersonators were ; Mesdames Patterson and Anderson (French Pierrot and ijueen Elizabeth): Miss nuinlan and Mr F. .Johnson (i lid-fashioned pair); Messrs. Geo. Gobi!horpe and G. 11. Phillips (English Squire and Sergeant-major) ; Milan Thompson (Girl Friend). Swift’s Orchestra provided excellent music and a delicious supper was served.
