ITALY REGAINS RECORD. 3104 MILES IN 25 HOURS. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. copyright. (Received July 18, 11.40 a.m.) ROME, July 17. Flying a seaplane from Monfalcohe lo Uerbera, 3104 miles, in 25 hours non-'Stop, Signor Stoppani regained the world's long-distance record.

The four-engined flying-boat Croix d.a Sud (Southern Cross) landed at Ziginshor, Senegal, from Cherbourg, after a flight of 2612 miles, on JUiie 20. Subject lo official confirmation this gave France the world’s distance record for a flying-boat. The Croix du Sud had crossed tite South Atlantic four times. On this oocaslon It descended 250 miles short of its objective, Konakry, though the distance flown was sufficient to beat the Italian record of 2567 miles.
