At the Victoria Park Racing Club’s meeting to-day the feature was the performance of Golden Treasure in the Nursery Handicap in clipping 'three-quarters of a second off the raco record, llis win was especially impressive as he drew an unfavourable posilion at the barrier and was near the lail of Hie held until the last furlonff.
Golden Chance and Golden Treasure respectively are three and two-year-old brothers of Golden Wings. They opened their winning accounts cn successive race days in the metropolitan area. The chief results to-day were;-
NURSERY HANDICAP, Of £100: 4*2 fur. First Division. GOLDEN TREASURE, 7.7 (Knox) 1 WISE BOY, 8.7 (Fox) 2 CALESCO, 7.7 (Finch) 3 Thirteen started. Won by a head. Time, 58Js. Sir Walter ran third in the seoond division of the Nursery.
WELTER HANDICAP, Of £100; 7 fur. PRINCE POMBAL, 1.0.7 (Webb) 1 TORTONI, 8.11 (James) 2 EL PARAI3O, S.'S (Maxwell) ..,. . 3 Eighteen started, including Limoux and Tea. Eight. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.27J —a race record. Tea Picker was unplaced in the sec.ond division of the Welter. Viking and Stratosphere, were unplaced in the Maiden Handicap. King of Diamonds was unplaced in Hie second division of the Flying Handicap.
