TO-NIGHT’S BIG BOUT. BLOMFIELD v. NARBERES. GOOD CONTEST PROMISED. The meeting of “Lofty” Blomfield and Leo Narberes in the Theatre Royal this evening promises to be one of the best contests staged in Hamilton for some considerable time and patrons can be assured of a thrilling encounter. The men met In Auckland on Monday evening and on that occasion Narbares was the first lo secure a fall and it appeared at that stage that lie had the contest in safe keeping. The New Zealander then asserted himself and soon evened matters with a boston crab, and in the following session he clinched the fight with a similar hold. Narberes is one of the most scientific wrestlers who have visited these shores and his boast that lie will even the score with Blomfield Is no Idle one. He will certainly have the New Zealander doing his best this eveningAn attractive programme of amateur bouts has been arranged to precede the main contest.
ELLIOTT BEATS NARBARES. WANGANUI, Wednesday. In a bright and lively wrestling match to-night King Elliott (14 st. 121 b.), defeated Leo Narberes (14st. 81b.), by two falls to one, the match ending early in the seventh round.
WADE DEFEATS WILLIAMS. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. In a professional wrestling match to-night Glenn Wade heat Cy. William’s. Williams had one fall to his credit when, In the fifth round, Wade dumped him on his neck from a cradle hold. Williams was unable to proceed. The bout was constantly interrupted, while the referee warned Williams for' punching, kicking and sundry illegal holds, a section of the spectators hooting continually.
