It Is reported that an agreement on a long-term meat policy Is expected momentarily between the Australian and British Ministers In London. Cabled advice to this effeot was reoelved from Mr J. A. Lyons, Federal Prime Minister, yesterday.
A definite policy of Imperial preferences is stated to have been established.
Development of Chilled Beef.
Important plans for the develop* ment of Ihe chilled beef Industry wl’l soon be announced by the Common wealth Government.
Dr. Earle Page, acting-Prime Minister, envisages a complete changeover from frozen to chilled beef production, and two Government experts will travel the pastoral areas and make a complete survey of the possibilities.
