MOTORIST'S FORTUNATE EBOAPE. VICTORIA STREET CROSSING. A commercial traveller, of Auckland, Mr Kenneth ,W. A. Tyrle, had a fortunate esoape from Injury In a collision which ocourred between his car and a train at the Victoria Street levelcrossing early last evening. Mr Tyrle was driving his car up Victoria Street and failed to notice the approach ,-of the train. The engine struck the front portion of the car and slewed it'round. The car was extensively damaged. Mr Tyriei who was the sole occupant of the car,-was not Injured.
