TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL.
GROUND IMPROVEMENTS. -REPOUT BY PRINCIPAL, A scheme for the beautification of the school grounds was outlined by the principal, [Mr W. Fraser, at a meeting of the Board of Managers of the Hamilton Technical High School last evening. Tho chairman, Mr S. B. 'Sims, presided, while also present were Mrs S. C. Sims and Messrs 'C. Nisbet, B. N. Andrews and C. J. Champness. Air Fraser reported 'that during the past two months several thousands of bulbs, generously donated by the parent of a pupil, had been planted in the native plantation, while six English evergreen trees had been set along the boundary fence. 'On the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of the school two of the senior girl -pupils had planted a kowhai tree, while next week, it was proposed to plant a young kauri tree in commemoration of the King’s Jubilee. The board granted permission to the newly-formed Accountancy Students Society to make use of the rooms at the school for lectures and meetings.
Improvements to the hot water supply in the second cookery room were approved and the erection of a cupboard for containing mixing boards, at a cost of £G was decided upon.
