MUSICAL STUDENTS.
SOCIAL EVENING HELD.
PLEASANT FUNCTION, A very pleasant sooial evening was held by the Music Students’ Association In the Centreway last evening, when 'there was a large attendance and an interesting time was -spent. -During the evening two amusing competitions were held and were won by Mri I. James, Miss- V. Rucroft, Mr ! R. W. Bennett and Mr Lloyd Peach. Songs by Miss Ruby Sutherland and Mr W. B. L. Williams, and a piano solo by Mr -Lloyd Peach were much appreciated. A novel country symphony caused much amusement. The accompanists were Mrs I. James and Mr S. James. The rooms were most attractively decorated with -greenery and Iceland poppies In shades of gold. Miss V. 'Rucroft received the -guests wearing a frock of black velvet. Among those .present were:—Mesdames C. -F. O’Connor, C. Wilson, 'L. 'Barton, S. 'Craig, -Church, Caldwell, I. James, A. Gordon, Ryan, Hubert Hammond, -Rucroft, 'Marker, L. - Jones, ■Smith, E. B." Heywood. Misses Margaret Roe, Frances Jolly, May Hooper, W. Hawkins, Mavis Langley, Betty Sanderson, Christine Farrer, Ilene Wood, Margaret ClaytonGreene, Ethel Hammond, Ruby Sutherland, Jessie Gardner, Isabel Leak, K. Prlscott, R. Joyce, Elsie Strang, Irene Collier, Miriam Tidd, McMullin, Helen Heywood, Dorothy Robson, J. E. Barlow, N. Wilkie, Gertrude Mayo.
