BREACHES OF BY-LAWS.
HAMILTON AIOTORISTS CHARGED
DRIVING WITHOUT TAIL LIGHTS. Several motorists concerned in collisions in and around Hamilton during the last few weeks appeared in the Alagistrale’s Court, Hamilton, to-day charged with breaches of the traffic by-laws. Messrs S. L. Paterson, S.AI., and G. lv. Sinclair, J.P., were on the bench, and Senior-Sergeant J. Lambert prosecuted. Charged with negligent driving on the Great South Road and with falling to keep to'the left-hand side of the highway, Hector Walter Douglas Johnston was fined £l with costs 2ls. Defendant had collided with another car approaching him. He pleaded guilty and blamed the dazzling lights of the approaching car. As the result of a collision on the Hamilton Traffic Bridge, Arthur Henry Piper was charged with failing to keep io the left. He pleaded guilty and was limnl £l and costs lfis. Charged with failing to give way to a vehicle on Uis right and with operating a vehicle without a warning device" Aubrey Butterworth was lined £l and costs on the first charge and 5s and costs on the second charge.
For driving motor vehicles without toil-lights Ilartland Rex Gallichan, and Cyril Lawrence Harris wore fined 10s and costs, Charles McKenzie Scott was fined 5s and costs and Evern Lambert was convicted and ordered to pay costs- ‘ ,
