DECREASE IN SUPPLIES
United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright,
(Received June 10, 10 a.m.) LONDON, June 9., The commercial summary for the week states: —
The butter market maintained its recent Improvement, and prices again advanced this week. New Zealand choicest is now quoted at, 83s to 84s per cwt., and Australian 82s. The steadiness is largely due to a better statistical position, for although cold stored stocks are still large the present indications suggest that supplies from Australia and New Zealand during' the summer will be considerably less than last year. The quantities afloat on June 4 from Australia, New Zealand and the Argentine were 775,399 boxes, compared with 960,404 boxes a year ago. European production has been somewhat checked by the cold weather, and Danish exports are lower than for the corresponding period of 1934.
