NEW ZEALAND ACTOR.
STARRING AS CHRISTIAN. IN “PILGRIM’S PROGRESS" FILM. Shayle Gardner, whose formidable presence and personality are all too rarely seen on the screen nowadays, says a London .paper, has been cast by Rex Graves for the role of Christian in a forthcoming production of Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress,” exteriors for which will probably be taken in the West Country. Paul Graetz has also been engaged for an important role in the production.
Mr Graves has contrived a modern prologue and epilogue for Bunyan’s immortal morality drama.
Shayle Gardner was formerly of Auckland, and has attained a prominent place on stage and screen both in England and America.
