MATANGI NOTES.

LADIES’ GUILD. The annual meeting of the Matangi Ladies’ Guild was held in the church on Wednesday afternoon, when there was a good attendance. The balance sheet showed a very satisfactory result. The election of officers was as follows:—President, Mrs 'G. Hicks (reelected) ; vice-president, Mrs 'H. Marychurch; secretary, Mrs iS. Smith; treasurer, Mrs Jamieson, senr. After the ordinary business was completed Mrs Dennis dosed the meeting with a prayer and Benediction.

CARD EVENING. A most enjoyable progressive 'SOO evening given by Mr E. J. Swann in aid of the hall funds, was held on Wednesday, when a very enjoyable time was spent. The winners of cards were Mrs R. Taylor and Mr R. Petitt.
