Lurman: — HIGH-GRADE JERSEY COWS Owing to having enough pedigree heifers to fill the shed Mr Lurman has decided to quit this herd and have only pedigree on both farms. The cows are from a high testing strain of bulls. The home herd has a very high average test for the last two years 5.74 and 5.61 respectively, with cows over 921bs fat for 30 days; 17 of this herd of 70 cows averaged over 611bs fat for 30 days under ordinary herd test. The sires of this herd are the same as those offered for sale. Mr Lurman was tho first Jersey breeder to seml-offlcially test in the Otorohanga district and his first tested cow is still alive and milking. The herd was established in 1910. te awamutu stock sale.
