MILKING SHORTHORNS.
DISPERSAL AT CLAUDELANDS. SATISFACTORY PRICES REALISED. The third joint annual sale of the “Uorotiu” and “Pinedalc” studs, the properties of Mr 11. D. Duxileld and Messrs U. D. Hall and Sons respectively, was held in the selling pavilion at Hie Claudelands Show Grounds today.
Satisfactory prices were realised, the top price, 31 gns., being paid by Mr G. Hall, of Ilairini, for Pinedalc Lilac’s Goldmine. The second top price, 2G gns., was paid by Mr K. Morten, of Kalikati. A Tauranga buyer, Mr G. B. Hynes, paid 15 gns. for Pincdale Royal Duke, this being the third best figure on the day. The sale was conducted by the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited.
