WALLACE MILKING MACHINE.
ATTRACTION TO FARMERS. The Waikaito Winter Show is attracting many farmers to Hamilton and one of the most popular exhibits it that of D. McL. Wallace, Limited. In the past this enterprising firm have shown many of their manufactures of interest to dairy farmers, but the 1935 exhibits eclipse all past efforts to bring before the farmer the ;most progressive and effective methods of farming. This well-known concern of Newmarket, with branches throughout the'lsland, plays a big part In the life of the farmer, and naturally Its display is the subject of constant Inquiry. Several of the exhibits shown, on this stand are entirely new and have not been shown before in any part of New Zealand, and any farmer who has progress for a motto would be well advised to call and see this truly wonderful exhibition.
General Farm Implements.
A comprehensive display of farm machinery is incorporated on the Wallace stand. This Includes the Wallace Tripod and Kati-Motlon harrows, which cut the ground every inches. Replacements of knives cost only 5d with those harrows, which are available in all sizes from 6 foot upwards. The Wallace i'935 model “Sureso,” the latest Invention in topdressers, is being shown. The Sureso has no stars, is of light draught, requires only one horse', and does exceptionally good work on hillsides. Also on show is the Lister Diesel Oil Engine, especially designed for milking machine work. It is 3h.p. and can be run for Id per hour 1 , driving full load. Wallaoe Super Maohines.

This set, which requires no support. from cowshed walls or separator rooms, has been produced to Increase the efficiency of milking machine Installation, and also to reduce the cost of running to the farmer. With this set, which can be driven by electric motor or engine, the vacuum pump speeds can easily be controlled in accordance with the number of bails of the milking machine.ln use.
If two bails only are being used, the vacuum pump speed is reduced accordingly, thus eliminating unnecessary wastage of power. Now that the Dairy Regulations call for purer milk than ever before and payment will be paid accordingly, it is more essential than ever to have the .most sanitary milking /machine. The Wallace has proved itself in this direction, the proof of which is the result of the bacteriologist’s test 'taken at “ The Gottlevllle Farm,” Wellington, where the milk is tested every day for the Wellington Hospital. Water from your farm can be pumped at extremely low cost if you install a “Wallace”- ball-bearing water pump. All types both for deep well or surface work are shown on their exhibit, as well as their high pressure water unit complete with Ezikleen Pump which is an absolute necessity on many farms. All these are reasonably priced and can be purchased on easy terms.
Should you contemplate engineering work of any kind, D. Mc.L. Wallace, ■Limited, will be only' too pleased to quote you for same. An interesting example of their workmanship is on view on their stall —a huge hydraulio press which weighs thirty cwt. and is perfect in every detail. D. McL. Wallace, Limited, are also district agents for the “ Speedway ” steam sterilizers, both wood and crude oil burning units and should you be interested 'their attendants will he only too pleased to explain the principle of either type.
The very latest Pye’s Friction clutch for Separators and “ Lister" ballbearing separators arc also being displayed for the Inspection of visiting farmers.
