AUCKLAND, tVv'day,
The Governor-General has received from Rear-Admiral Nakumaru, a mer/mgc expressing thanks for 'the warm hospitably received by the nayal training, squadron in New. Zealand. lie wishes prosperity to the Dominion and even closer friendly relations between Japan and New Zealand.
His Excellency replied, saying the •squadron's visit was welcome to the people of New Zealand, as affording them an opportunity of giving expression to the cordial feelings of friendship vvhioh they entertain towards Japan and the Japanese. On behalf of the, Government and people he wished the Admiral, his officers and men a pleasant voyage and safe return.
HOSPITALITY APPRECIATED.
MESSAGE TO MINISTER. The following telegram has been .received by Sir Alexander Young, Minister of Internal Affairs, from RearAdmiral Nakumaru, officer in charge of the Japanese training squadron which visited New Zealand this week. “Please accept our hearty thanks for your warm hospitality and the enthusiastic welcome shown us during our visit to New Zealand. Wishing every happiness to you and prosperity to the Dominion.”
