Thousands of young men, seizing the chance of a career, formed queues at the Royal Air Force recruiting depots, in response to the Air Ministry’s appeal. At least 20G0 called at Victory House, Klngsway. Five hundred applied to the Air Ministry, while written applications exceeded 3000.

A decision of considerable significance to Empire defence has been announced. in Fleet Orders. All British Navy ratings will ho drafted for service in Hie Dominions the same as for Royal Navy service abroad.
