"LUCERNDALE" OFFERING.

FOUR BREEDS REPRESENTED. Carrying a big proportion of linn ported blood, the offering of pedigree pigs from the well-known “Lucerndalo Stud,” should prove of unusual Interest to pig breeders desiring to improve their herds or who desire a change of blood. The Lucerndale Stud began its history 10 years ago and has been built entirely of imported stock, some of these importations having cost up to 70gns to land on the farm. The offering of Tamworths Includes soime splendid types, which should prove ideal for producing carcases suitable for the export trade. They havo been mated to Ilawkesbury Ferdinand (Imp.), who is* pure English, and Warrigal Lucky Star, bred in England, ami which is English-Canadian.

Breeders of Large Blacks will be catered for in the excellent offering of this breed. Tiie stud contains the ' largost herd in Australasia and about 75 of tlie breed are catalogued. Sows purchased from the stud have produced weavers which weighed 051 b at eight weeks. The DorkslUrcs to be offered from the stud represent proved English and Canadian strains. They are lengthy, prolific and easy feeders. Although practically little known, the Duroc Jersey has been a steady seller and a few excellent animals will bo offered, including an imported sow and boar.
