POLAR EXPLORATION.

Sir Hubert Wilkins Interviewed air pilots in Toronto and will Interview other's in Western Canada, with a view to finding two to accompany him and Mr Lincoln Ellsworth on what may be the first non-stop 2900-mlles flight across the Antarctic. Only the two' pilots will travel with the expedition, whioh will leave the United States early in October. The plans are practically the same as those for. the first attempt in 1933, when the aeroplane was crushed in an ice fissure.

From the Weddel Sea base the flight will be made across the South Pole to the extreme side of the continent, for the purpose of determining whether Antarctica is one continent.
