“HARD-UP” PARTY.

LYCEUM CLU3 FUNCTION. HAPPY EVENING SPENT. A most amusing evening was spent by members of the Lyceum Club In The Lounge last evening, when the president, Mrs Hugh Douglas, was hostess at a “Ilard-up" party. There was a large attendance and a very happy time was spent. The evening began with pianoforte solos toy Mrs H. J. McMullin and several amusing competitions were held. A “Hard-up" Parade provoked much merriment and a lightning sketch demonstration by Mr Rix Carlton was much appreciated. The lounge looked most attractive with toowls of autumn shaded Powers and berries and a delicious supper was served.
